Achievements Until Now:
The spiritual, physical and social condition of more than 500 elderly has improved. They have been provided with help regularly in the form of food, clothes, shoes, essential household equipment and materials, medical care, helping in bills paying, social activities and pastoral care.
Target Group:
Elderly who live in poor conditions: they are lonely or ill, need special care and attention. Some of the elderly have no family members and those who do, are left without support from them.
Problem Program Addresses:
Lonely and ill elderly who live in desperate conditions facing great problems in meeting their everyday essential needs. Often, they are unable to care for themselves.
Purpose:
To improve the physical and social condition of these elderly in cities, towns and rural villages of Transcarpathia through the assistance of local Christian churches.
Main Activities:
Visiting elderly with goods and other essential help. Organizing social activities for the elderly at least twice a year. Providing medical care and check-ups if needed.
