Achievements Until Now:
6 strategic partners have benefited from capacity building program in form of workshops on project management, financial management and time management among other aimed at improving skills of the partners in developing project proposals, annual plans, progress reports and budgets. From 2005 onwards, training for some specific partners is funded: psychology, English, a driving course, bookkeeping, secretarial and computer. As from 2007, 22 partner staff took part in project management, local fundraising and PR training. Overall, 80% of the partners have improved in service delivery to their beneficiaries.
Target Group:
Capacity building focus on Partner organizations leaders and staff.
Problem Program Addresses:
Lack of efficiency in project planning and implementation and functioning of organizations.
Purpose:
Strengthening civil society by improving the capacity of local NGOs in areas of project management, financial management, languages, computer skills, public relations and fundraising.
Main Activities:
Training in language, computer, bookkeeping, social work, etc. Annual training for partners on project management, financial management, strategic management, public relations and fundraising. These trainings are followed by coaching during project-visits in which partner-organizations are supported in project proposals development, annual plans, progress reports and financial reports.
