Achievements Until Now:
People living in the North and South of Moldova have been helped materially, receiving food parcels
Target Group:
1990 beneficiaries are provided with food parcels, cloth bags and hygiene parcels. 1990 beneficiaries are provided with spiritual support. NGO's and transition homes are provided with material support. Partner organizations still have little contribution from the governments for their programs.
Problem Program Addresses:
Poverty. Moldova is the poorest country in Europe. The majority of poor people live in rural areas. Unemployment is one of the causes of their poverty.
Purpose:
To provide needy people in the North and South of Moldova with material goods.
Main Activities:
The help consists of packages with food, new and used clothes, school equipment, and personal hygiene items and used furniture. Also, all the beneficiaries receive medical help when they have urgent medical needs from a family doctor supported by the partner. Source of the goods: trucks with humanitarian aid are sent to Moldova by Dorcas. The partner grows vegetables and also does fundraising activities in order to support the beneficiaries.The humanitarian help distribution take place about 6 times a year. Monthly family visit by the leader of the project and volunteers visit the families twice a month
