Achievements Until Now:
70 elderly people have been helped monthly with food parcels, medicines and hygiene necessities, heating in winter months and have regularly been visited by church volunteers and offered the possibility to join different social activities (knitting, lunch etc.)
Target Group:
Approximately 70 old people who lack access to basic provisions and care from family and friends, and who are lonely and isolated.
Problem Program Addresses:
Lack of food, hygiene, medicines and care for elderly persons in two towns in Bosnia.
Purpose:
To improve the living and social conditions of elderly in the towns of Zenica and Tuzla.
Lonely and isolated elderly people are visited and offered different social activities organized by church volunteers.
Main Activities:
Provide food parcels to the elderly monthly. Improve the health care of beneficiaries.
Make home visits and implement activities in addition to the aid distribution.
Organize workshops, official and non-official meetings and gatherings.
