Achievements Until Now:
The economic and social situation of more than 250 families has been improved through regular support in the form of food, clothing, essential household materials and equipments, covering the costs of medicines and the provision of social activities and spiritual care. 58 families were helped with the repair of their houses (roof, windows and doors). Family Care contributed also to the lives of around 20 children who have attended one English course, this will help them tackle the risks of unemployment and other threatening components that paralyze the normal economic growth of their families.
Target Group:
About 250 families in 4 towns and 22 villages in the district of Korca. The targeted families are poor families with many children, with handicapped children or parents, unemployed adults and/or one parent headed households.
Problem Program Addresses:
The project aims to help large and poor families that live under the Albanian poverty line. Many of these families live in poor domestic or household conditions and face different kinds of problems.
Purpose:
To improve the living conditions of the poorest families in the community. Assist the families in becoming self-supportive. Provide pastoral, psychological and social help.
Main Activities:
Visit the supported families regularly. Provide pastoral and psychological support to them. Provide them with food and clothing. Offer vocational training for youngsters.
