Climbing For Kids

David O'Brien, chairman of Dorcas Aid South Africa and his climbing partner, Justin Stevens took on the challenge of a Himalaya climb. As passionate climbers, they used the climb as an opportunity to raise funds for two childrens homes supported by Dorcas Aid. The AFM Special Needs Home which cares for abandoned toddlers with special needs and J29 Community Care which provides a safe house to accommodate school going children in crisis, without patrents or suitable care givers. The latest news is that as they finished their climb, just over R18 000 had been raised with more funds promised to come in.

Just as David and Justin made use of a unique opportunity and volunteered their time to raise funds for the less fortunate, consider what is stopping you from either supporting these two homes or finding a unique way to raise funds for Dorcas Aid.
