Poverty trap broken in one person’s life!

Idalina, a former domestic for 17 years decided she needed to invest in her future and that of her nieces and nephews. Her sister had recently died of HIV/Aids and she took on the responsibility of caring for her 4 children. One Dorcas Aid partner, "St Anthony's skills training centre" trained her in upholstery and she started her own business from her squatter camp home. Her enthusiasm to work hard in trying circumstances inspired motivation from St Anthony's to allow her to build her business from one of the newly built business hives at their training centre in Reiger Park, Boksburg. The future prospects for Idalina's life are looking very promising. Her story is one of triumph over adversity and serves as an inspiration to others trapped in poverty.
