We are looking for a student at HBO level studying International Logistics or a similar study.The assignment we have is to develop a DAI logistics manual that describes the logistic processes and procedures within the DAI organisation. The manual should follow the steps that are taken from the donor of the goods till the receiver (beneficiary) of the goods.
The assignment will include:
Check which logistic processes are already described in the organisation and revise them where necessary.
Conduct necessary research and develop new guidelines/criteria for more effective and efficient logistic procedures.
Describe logistic roles and responsibilities within the organisation (DHN and DAI)
The document should include the following:
Organisation of collection points (depots) in The Netherlands
Guidelines and procedures for collection points in The Netherlands
Logistics within the Netherlands (how do goods go from depots to central depots or to the warehouses in Andijk.
Procurement policy, what are the rules and regulations to purchase certain requested materials. (when do we purchase locally (in project country) and when do we purchase in The Netherlands.
How are materials for projects selected in the depots
What are the selection criteria/rules for materials that are sold in the donor country to wholesalers?
What are the selection criteria/rules for materials to be sold in Dorcas shop (which goods are allowed to be sold in the shop and which goods should always be kept for projects)
What are the quality standards for goods that are sent to the projects (checklists for different groups of materials?)
How does DAI/DHN make sure that the goods made available for projects are based on the requests from the field.
How is the stock in warehouses of DHN/DAI registered?
