Donors are needed to support the work of Dorcas Aid. Donors generally come from the general public, corporates, goverment and instituitions.
The General Public:
These are individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of people who are less fortunate than themselves. Dorcas Aid relies on the good will of individuals who contribute financially or materially to their work. Financial donations can be made through monthly debit orders or once off donations.
Corporates or Business: Since 1994, major strides have been made to bridge the gap between the wealthy and the poor living in South Africa. There is a growing willingness from business to see the needs of the poor addressed. There is an increased committment in the form of financial & material contributions to charities that are involved in the battle of poverty alleviation and addressing the challenge of HIV/AIDS.
CSR is essentially a concept whereby companies decide voluntarily to contribute to a better society and a cleaner environment European Commission 2001
Dorcas Aid invites donations from individuals, corporates, institutions & embassies to support their work.
Dorcas Aid is a registered Public Benefit Organisation so donations made to the organisation are tax deductable
